The Dark is the second track taken from their debut EP A Slave To The Waves the track sees the band tap into a different vibe from their normal upbeat sound. Coming in with an acoustic guitar it really sets the tone for the next 4 minutes, The combination of the acoustic guitar mixed with the electric guitar produces this gorgeous sound that just is so gentle and comforting. This could easily have been just vocals and acoustic guitar but the added elements of the electric guitar and the slow but very satisfying drum beat throughout really elevate the track however I would be curious to hear an acoustic version further down the line.

The Dark highlights how much the bands sound has matured over the last 12 months the vocals are more crisp the production on the recent tracks is better in my opinion the song writing is stronger and this track is the perfect example of that. A song that you could easily see placed in the middle of the set as a perfect palette cleanser from their usual stuff is exactly what the boys were missing. A track like this only builds anticipation for the upcoming EP due to be released 23rd of March there isn’t long to wait and if these last two tracks are anything to go by this release will be special.
